Format and Topics

 Aim of the Conference is to present the state-of-the-art of the research in partial differential equations of mathematical physics, clearly limiting the analysis to the following specific areas, important for real life applications:

  • Navier-Stokes equations.
  • Electromagnetism.
  • Fluid-structure interaction.

 Three courses of 4 hours each will be given by P. Galdi, P. Monk and A. Quarteroni. These three courses will be organized in such a way that someone not expert in the field will be able to understand the directions of the actual research. The talks will add specific information on recent results.

The interaction between researchers coming from different but related areas should be one of the most important “products” of the conference.

Registration

 For registering in the conference please complete and submit our registration form to the Secretary of CIRM.

No registration fee will be charged.

Some grants covering the lodging for the participation in the workshop will be available. People interested in having such a support should send an application form together with a short curriculum to the Secretary of CIRM.

 Logistic Information

The conference will be held in the conference hall of the Grand Hotel Bellavista in Levico Terme (Trento). Participants will be lodged in the same hotel. Arrival day is Sunday, September 6th  in the afternoon/evening. Lectures will start in the morning of Monday, September 7th  and end in the morning of Friday, September 11th . Departure day is Friday, September 11th  after lunch. The cost for the full board at Grand Hotel Bellavista is:
