A. Classical Field Theory: 1. Relativistic field equations, 2. Manifolds, metric, and curvature, 3. Relativistic field equations in curved space

B. Free, scalar quantum field theory: 1. Free quantum field theory on Minkowski, 2. Free quantum field theory on curved space

C. Curved Spacetime examples: 1. Rindler space and the Unruh effect, 2. Static spacetimes, 3. deSitter spacetime, 4. Schwarzschild spacetime/Hawking effect, 5. Expanding universes (Particle creation, power spectrum)

D. Advanced topics: 1. Hadamard condition, microlocal analysis of states, 2. General theorems on Hadamard states, 3. Operator product expansion, 4. The stress tensor, 5. Quantum inequalities

The Lectures are part of the Ph.D. program of the University. They are free to all interested students and researchers, and will run from 2.07.2008 to 1.08.2008, with three lectures per week of about 2 hours each.
Unfortunately, we do not have grants for students.
