We will focus on the main topics in the field of geometry which are
developed in the junior and high schools. At the beginning we introduce
some primitive concepts (shapes) in an intuitive way proceeding with
parallel construction techniques which make use of rule and compass. Later
we discuss the logical-deductive approach giving a proof of the main
theorems in euclidean geometry and introducing similar results in
hyperbolic and spherical geometry.
In the last part we present some computer programs useful for the teaching
of geometry (software like Cabri, Mathematica or Maple).
