 The course is an introduction to Classical Mechanics, Special Relativity and Thermodynamics.

MECHANICS
Measurements and units. Vectors. Forces. Kinematics. Relative motion. Dynamics of a particle. Work and energy. Dynamics of a system of particles. Gravitational interaction.  Dynamics of a rigid body. Statics and dynamics of fluids.

THERMODYNAMICS
Fundamental concepts. Equation of state. The first law of thermodynamics. Some consequences of the first law. The second law of thermodynamics. Combined first and second law. Entropy. Thermodynamics potentials. Kinetic theory.
