The SPIN-coating technique

Spin-coating may be a suitable technique for the fabrication of planar waveguides by sol-gel route. Spin Coating Process can be divided down into 4 key stages [reference: Dunbar P. Birnie, University of Arizona]:

fluid dispense
spin-up
stable fluid outflow
evaporation dominated drying

Figure 1 shows the available spin-coating apparatus: WS400B-6NPP-Lite spin processor by Laurel with 10000 RPM option and manual dispense
