The international conference "Perspectives on Algebraic Varieties" will be held in Levico Terme (Trento, ITALY) from September 6 to September 11, 2010.

The study of varieties from a classical or explicit perspective is central to modern algebraic geometry, and it remains the foundation for contemporary developments such as the theory of moduli and quantum cohomology. This conference will concentrate on recent developments in the theory of algebraic varieties, with an emphasis on low-dimensional varieties and on moduli spaces.

The conference is dedicated to the achievements and influence of Fabrizio Catanese, Ciro Ciliberto and Alessandro Verra, on the occasion of their 60^th birthday.

The participants should register online as soon as possible and by June 30. The conference will be sized on the number of participants at that date. Further registrations will not be guaranted the entrance to the conference room. Note that after the registration you should directly book the hotel.
