Abstract
In this full-immersion course we will show how mathematical trapdoors can be embedded
in the design of a block cipher. We will show how the cipher be can evaluated
to ensure that it is safe from these trapdoors. We will also show how an
attacker can take advantage of the (knowledge of the) trapdoor, obtaining a complete break
of the cipher in a way totally unexpected by the legitimate users.
The course cost is 1000 euros and the maximum number of partecipants is $6$.
