I am currently a research fellow at Nanoscience Laboratory.

I was born in Rovereto (Trento - Italy) the 18/06/76.
I earned M.Sc. in Material Science at the University of Padova with the maximum grade ("cum laude").
In 2000 I join the Nanoscience Laboratory where I obtained my Ph.D. in Physics (2004).
My background is in modelization, fabrication and characterization of nanostructured for integrated photonics. More recently the topic of my research shifted towards the use of nanoporous materials for sensing applications.
In 2006 I was in charge of a POSTDOC2006 grant ("Polimeric slot waveguides integrated on silicon for sensing applications" - GOPSI).
In 2010 I participate as workpackage leader to the FP7 - POSITIVE project (no. 257401).
Curently I am the coordinator of a FIRB project (FIRB-RBFR12OO1G Nematic) which aims to develop an analytical tool for DNA separation based on nanopores.
I teaches classes at both B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics and Biotechnology and supervised both M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
